Manuela Muñoz is a Ph.D. student whose research focuses on comparative political institutions, political representation, and urban politics in Latin America and the US. In particular, she is interested in how different electoral and institutional arrangements and multilevel governance structures at the local level affect redistributive politics and policy responsiveness: who votes, who gets elected, and who benefits. Her work has been published in journals including the Journal of Politics, Political Communication, the Journal of Latin American Politics and Society, and Revista de Ciencia Política (Chile).
