Offered online, on-campus, or via a combination of both formats, the graduate Certificate in Public Management (PBMG) is an outstanding addition to the resume of anyone working or endeavoring to work in a public service or public management career.
The Certificate in Public Management program focuses on the capabilities required for effective and ethical leadership in the public and nonprofit sectors. This includes the knowledge and skills pertaining to the internal operation of public-service organizations and to the relationship between those organizations and their environments.
The culmination of the program will result in prepared state and federal leaders with the requisite skills and expertise in public service to excel in professional and executive management roles.
Courses are taught by nationally and internationally acclaimed faculty members, often complemented by students that are full time working professionals, who bring unique experiences and expertise to the classroom.

Our Students
Certificate students come from various backgrounds. Many are full time professionals seeking a stand-alone credential for career advancement with the added bonus of transferable hours that might count as credit toward a graduate degree. Many other certificate students are full time, degree-seeking Texas A&M graduate students adding a special notation of certificate completion to their transcripts.

The Certificate in Public Management requires completion of 12 graduate credit hours and is offered all online, all on-campus, or through a combination of both.
