How Online Study Works
Online programs combine convenient and accessible coursework.
- Online graduate courses for the graduate certificate and master’s program are delivered online across fifteen-week fall and spring sessions, and ten-week summer sessions.
- Graduate certificates may be completed fully online, in residence, or any combination of online/in person formats, so you can choose the mix that fits your schedule.
- Online courses are lively environments of instructor-led engagement, and constant peer discussion and feedback aligning with Texas A&M University’s rigorous, quality, academic standards.
- Online courses are not self-paced, but instead offer a lively virtual, asynchronous classroom.
- Online faculty and students engage in critical inquiry and shared expertise, empowering our students to solve pressing state, national, and global challenges impacting our communities.
- Online courses are taught by qualified Bush School faculty who are both scholars and practitioners in the field.
Looking for a Hybrid Option?
Some of our in-residence master’s programs offer limited online flexibility. Students in the Master of International Policy (MIP) and the Master of National Security & Intelligence (NSI) may take up to six credit hours online while completing their degree primarily in residence. If you want an in-person experience with some online flexibility rather than a fully online program, these may be a fit.
Cost & Funding
Online students are eligible for financial aid, and program costs vary by credential. The Cost & Funding overview covers tuition, scholarships, federal aid, and military benefits, and each program’s page carries its own cost detail.
