
In a recent NPR podcast 1A, Instructional Associate Professor Brittany N. Perry discusses the Texas voter ID laws (some of the strictest in the nation) and how they can lead to voter suppression in the 2020 election. She explains how any photo ID should suffice to allow someone to vote and adds that “the argument that we are protecting against fraud is just, not a very strong argument because before the law was passed this type of law was not prevalent and it remains not prevalent today”.
