Qiang (Steven) Wu is in the midst of his Ph.D. studies in Political Science at Texas A&M University. His research explores the interplay between international political economy and international security, and the dynamics of great power rivalry, especially within the Indo-Pacific region. Additionally, Steven investigates the nexus between democratization and trade liberalization, as well as public opinion concerning trade policy and globalization. Steven brings a wealth of experience from China, having worked with policy related institutions such as the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress and Peking University. His academic background include an M.A. in International Economics and China Studies from Johns Hopkins University's SAIS, with a specialization in Economic Policy, an M.A. in Economics from Kyoto University, and both an M.A. in International Relations and a B.A. in Political Science from Peking University.
