
Chen Shen is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University. His scholarly interests include political economy, authoritarian politics, nationalism, and game theory, with a particular focus on the geopolitical intricacies of Northeast Asia.In his doctoral research, Chen explores the various strategies employed by the Chinese government to counter internal and external pressures that threaten its legitimacy, specifically pressures pertaining to corruption and human rights.Prior to his doctoral studies at Texas A&M University, Chen obtained a Master of International Affairs (MIA) from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UC San Diego. This followed his Bachelor's degree in International Politics earned at Renmin University of China.
