A combination of intramural leagues at Texas A&M University and recreational leagues in the Bryan/College Station community, Bushwhacker Athletics (BA) provides important team-building and stress-reducing activities to graduate students at the Bush School. Starting out as a softball team, the BA has grown greatly since its inception in 2000 to now include indoor and outdoor soccer, basketball, volleyball, flag football, and bowling to name a few. Students also develop leadership skills as they organize and coach teams; plan events revolving around sporting activities such as the annual “Duke it out for the Dillo” softball tournament against their rival, the LBJ School at the University of Texas; and participate in the annual “First-Year vs. Second-Year Flag Football” game.
