Stéphane Audoin-Rouzeau is a French historian. He is also a director of study at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (the EHESS, École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) and president of the International Center for Research at the Historial de la Grande Guerre (Museum of the Great War) in Péronne. He has published numerous works devoted to the First World War, the historical anthropology of combat, and the violence of war. We previously interviewed him about his most recent book, Une Initiation – Rwanda (1994 – 2016), published by Les Éditions du Seuil.
