Rebecca Katz
Rebecca Katz is an Associate Professor of Health Policy and Emergency Medicine at The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. Her research is focused on public health preparedness, global health diplomacy, biosurveillance, and the intersection of infectious diseases and national security. Current research projects are focused on implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005). She also works on issues related to foodborne illness surveillance and response, and biosecurity and biosafety. Since 2004, Dr. Katz has been a consultant to the U.S. Department of State, working on issues related to the Biological Weapons Convention and emerging and pandemic threats.
