Colonel Nate Crow is a United States Army War College Fellow at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University. He received his commission from Norwich University Army ROTC in 2001. He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Airborne School, Scout Leader Course, Cavalry Leader Course and Command and General Staff College.
Prior to his assignment as a USAWC Fellow, he was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, where he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Assistant Chief of Staff, G3. Previous non-command assignments include service as a Scout Platoon Leader, Reconnaissance Troop XO, Headquarters Troop XO in 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment (with whom he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 1); Squadron Plans Officer and Squadron S1 in 2 SBCT, 25th ID; Battalion S3 in 3 ABCT, 3rd ID; Regimental S3 in 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment; J35 in NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Turkey and OPS Group C Movement and Maneuver Chief O/C-T at the Mission Command Training Program.
His command assignments include: B Troop, 2-14 Cavalry, 2 SBCT, 25th ID (with whom he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09) and 6-9 Cavalry, 3 ABCT, 1st Cavalry Division (with whom he deployed in support of 2nd ID in Korea).
Colonel Crow holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Norwich University. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 3OLC, Army Commendation Medal with V Device, Combat Action Badge and the Parachutist Badge.
He is married to LTC(R) Dana Crow of Kenosha, Wisconsin. They have two children: Leah (12) and Caleb (10).
