In addition to pursuing extensive engagement, insightful scholarship, and policy-oriented exploration, the Economic Statecraft Program is committed to fostering an environment for students’ professional development.
Our program offers students the opportunity to engage in impactful research and directly participate in innovative conversations about economic statecraft, equipping future generations with the knowledge and skills to excel in careers as policymakers, academics, and business leaders.
We select student research assistants (SRAs) and undergraduate interns from a candidate pool of talented and motivated graduate and undergraduate students using a three-stage selection process:
- Stage 1: Students are invited to submit an application, including a cover letter and resume.
- Stage 2: Selected applicants are invited to complete a writing assessment that evaluates their critical thinking, subject matter knowledge, and fundamental writing skills.
- Stage 3: Candidates are offered an interview with the ESP Selection Committee.
- Selected intern applicants will receive final offers following their interview with the Committee. Final-stage SRA applicants will complete an additional interview with Program Director, Dr. Will Norris.
