
Dr. Robert Ralston, the 2020-21 Albritton Center for Grand Strategy (CGS) Predoctoral Fellow, and co-author Jen Spindel published “Congress might require women to register for the draft. Where do Republicans and Democrats stand?” in The Washington Post.
Ralston is a Grand Strategy, Security, and Statecraft Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard Kennedy School. Ralston also co-authored “More Deferential But Also More Political: How Americans’ Views of the Military Have Changed Over 20 Years” with Ronald R. Krebs. The article was published in War on the Rocks. The piece examines the complex relationship between the American civilians and the military and highlights the importance of the democratic civil-military relations.
