Internships, fellowships, and summer scholar programs provide opportunities for Bush School students to gain knowledge and experience in fields related to grand strategy. The Clements Center at the University of Texas at Austin and the Program in American Grand Strategy at Duke University have compiled lists of organizations that offer student internships and fellowships that may be of interest to future grand strategists.
CGS student fellows are eligible to apply for CGS funding to support their internships (up to $5,000 for internships within the U.S. and up to $7,500 for international internships). To apply, please submit the following to bushschoolCGS@tamu.edu:
- Your current resume or CV.
- A list of CGS programs you have attended or participated in and any grand strategy courses you have completed or are currently enrolled in.
- A statement of purpose (not to exceed 3 pages) that describes: your internship and how it related to grand strategy and the CGS mission, your skills or achievements that qualify you for the sponsorship award, your professional goals (medium- and long-term). You may also discuss an aspect of grand strategy that particularly interests you.
- An estimated budget for your anticipated expenses during the internship.
