Gene Drive Applications to Agriculture in Texas
The fundamental objective of the Gene Drive project is to assess the conditions for public and stakeholder engagement concerning the potential research, development, and use of gene drive technology in the management of agricultural pests in order to inform appropriate policy responses to gene drive in agriculture.
INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH FOCUS AREAS
Pursuing its mission to examine public policy issues and to communicate the results of that research to the public and to decision makers, the Institute for Science, Technology and Public Policy has attracted over $15 million in competitive funding from federal and state agencies and has partnered with researchers from U.S. and international universities, government agencies, and research centers.
