Graduate Certificates
The Bush School welcomes working professionals and students who need flexibility in order to extend their education. Additional academic options have been developed for those interested in public policy and service. Because we appreciate the varied backgrounds that professionals from many fields, different levels of government, and the military bring to public service, the Bush School offers graduate-level certificate programs, as well as online and executive education options.
- The Certificate in Advanced International Affairs (CAIA) program is an innovative way for individuals to acquire knowledge in international relations that supports a wide range of careers in a highly connected world. Now available with optional emphasis areas including diplomacy, defense policy and military affairs, and intelligence. Coming Fall 2010, counterterrorism and regional studies.
- The Certificate in China Studies (CCHS) prepares students for a global future through the study of economic, social, and political issues in historical and contemporary Chinese society. This program is offered in cooperation with the College of Liberal Arts, with courses being offered from the departments of History and Sociology and the Bush School. This certificate is open only to graduate students at Texas A&M University who currently are enrolled in a graduate degree program.
- The Certificate in Homeland Security (CHLS) meets rapidly growing educational needs in the area of strategy and policy for homeland security. CHLS credits are now transferable to National Graduate School Masters program.
- The Certificate in National Security Affairs (CNSA) is designed to provide professionals in the field of national security with a comprehensive overview of the formation and operation of U.S. national security policy.
- The Certificate in Nonprofit Management (CNPM) prepares the next generation of leaders to be effective managers of nonprofit organizations. Now available with optional emphasis areas including fund raising and philanthropy, fiscal and performance management, leadership and management, health and human service policy, and international nongovernmental organizations.
