Fall 2024 MS ECON-MIA Application Deadlines
We admit students into the Master of International Affairs portion of the MS ECON-MIA combined degree once per year, for fall entry of the student’s second year. Applications and all supporting materials (including recommendations) must be submitted/received by the final application deadline to be considered for admission.
- Priority MIA Funding Application Deadline – December 15, 2024
Applicants are strongly advised to submit all supporting documents and their application by the priority deadline to ensure their application is confirmed to be complete in time to be considered for all available Bush School funding.
As the final application deadline approaches, the busier the Bush School Admissions Office becomes. Applicants may experience longer response times, which can be frustrating. We value an applicant’s time and want to ensure all documents are accounted for, questions can be answered, and issues can be dealt with before the submission window closes. Aim for the priority deadline if possible.
- Final Application Deadline – January 5, 2025
Applications received after the priority funding deadline, but on or before the final application deadline, will still receive a competitive Bush School Scholarship. However, nomination-based opportunities may no longer be available.
Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed or considered for admission.
The Bush School Admissions Offices makes the final determination of when an MIA Internal Application is complete and will email applicants using the email address entered on their application to let them know of any missing/invalid items or if/when their application is complete.
Since applicants apply to the MIA portion of the combined degree internally, there is not a portal for applicants to use to monitor the status of their MIA application. The Bush School Graduate Admissions Office will email applicants when an application is missing materials or when an application is complete (all materials received) for the MIA portion.
