Regina Thompson
Adjunct Professor
Regina Thompson served in the FBI for 20 years, leading FBI intelligence, investigative, and crisis management programs domestically and internationally. In addition to working counterterrorism, counterintelligence, public corruption, violent crime, and human intelligence (HUMINT) programs, she served on the SWAT team’s forward deployed tactical operations center. After becoming an executive in 2016, she served as an Inspector, Deputy Assistant
Director of the Criminal Investigative Division, and finished her FBI career as an Assistant Director. She was responsible for engagement with the White House, Congress, intelligence community partners, private sector companies, and the public, and was awarded the Presidential Rank Award in 2021. Ms. Thompson is currently Senior Director of Global Security at GE Aerospace and leads the company’s Global Intelligence Center. She also serves as adjunct faculty at the National Intelligence University and is an instructor for their graduate-level leadership course.
Ms. Thompson is currently a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University and holds a graduate degree in Clinical Counseling and Bachelor’s degrees in Chinese Language and in Criminology from Ohio State University (OSU). Ms. Thompson also completed Middlebury College’s intensive Chinese language emersion program. Prior to entering on duty with the FBI, Ms. Thompson worked for OSU authoring and editing Chinese textbooks and was an instructor for the university’s Institute for Chinese Studies.
