
During the summer of 2019, Dr. Xinsheng Liu visited several universities in China, including Peking University, Inner Mongolia University, and Sun Yat-Sen University. He presented recent research to faculty members and graduate students on policy agendas and policy changes, Chinese concern about climate change, and local air quality and public trust in government.
In May and June, Dr. Liu also presented research papers coauthored with colleagues at several international academic conferences, including the following:

- The 3rd Peking University-Fudan University Forum on Governance, May 17-19, 2019, Peking University, Beijing, China.
For the second year as Changjiang Scholar Visiting Professor, Dr. Liu visited Inner Mongolia University’s School of Public Administration in July and August. He lectured on social science research and survey methods, provided consultations and recommendations for the school’s future curriculum design and research development, and conducted field research with colleagues on local environmental governance issues in Inner Mongolia.
