Dr. Arnold Vedlitz presented at “Water and Energy in Texas: Solutions from Texas A&M” held October 3-4, 2012 in College Station, Texas. He discussed findings of a new National Energy Survey done by ISTPP in association with the TAMU Energy Institute. The conference featured several keynote speakers including Dr. Robert Mace of the Texas Water Development Board; Representative James L. Keffer, chair of the Energy Resource Committee; and David Blackmon of America’s Natural Gas Alliance.
Dr. Vedlitz’s presentation, “Policy Challenges and Opportunities” focused on the public’s evaluations and understanding of water and energy issues surrounding natural gas recovery through hydrofracturing techniques.
