Renewed conflict in the Middle East in the fall of 2023 drew the world’s attention to long-standing tensions in the group of countries collectively known as the Levant. Although it is naïve to suggest that economic cooperation efforts alone are sufficient solutions to political crises, they can be a key building block for peace.
In the latest Mosbacher Institute White Paper, “Pursuing Prosperity and Peace in the Levant White Paper Series: An Overview,” Raymond Robertson, director of the Mosbacher Institute and professor at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, and Kaleb Abreha, Assistant Research Scientist at the Mosbacher Institute, provide the academic roots and motivation that explain in detail how to support economic integration within the Levant and offer some initial insight into the apparel and textile industry as an example.
Mosbacher Institute White Papers are publications of the Mosbacher Institute for Trade, Economics, and Public Policy at the Bush School at Texas A&M University.
