Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson has over 15 years of national security experience with the federal government, including in positions with the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Defense, the Department of State, and the National Security Council. He has served overseas in Austria, Belgium, Germany, and Ukraine. His focus is on European political and military affairs with a concentration on Germany. Mr. Johnson’s academic research before his government career focused on the history of Prussia and the German Empire as well as contemporary French and German foreign and security policies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in German, history, and political science with minors in West European Studies as well as East European Studies from Indiana University and a master’s degree in War Studies from King’s College, London.
