
Blake Emidy is an Assistant Professor of Public Service and Administration at the Bush School, specializing in public management. His research focuses on how organizational factors like politicization and turbulence impact employee motivation and well-being, with an emphasis on the federal service. Blake's work has been published in leading journals in the field of public administration, including the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Management Review, and the American Review of Public Administration.
Prior to joining the Bush School in 2025, Blake was a faculty member at the University of Montana's Department of Public Administration and Policy. He holds a PhD and MPA from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies from Georgia State University, and a BA from the University of Mississippi.
