Named in honor of our 41st president, Texas A&M’s Bush School embodies the philosophy of President George H.W. Bush. President Bush believed that public service is a noble calling. He also believed that men and women of character can make a difference in their states and in their countries. The Bush School DC was built upon this philosophy as well as with the intention to serve the growing needs of professionals in the D.C. area.
Located in the Center of the U.S. Capital
Our school occupies a prime location in the heart of Washington D.C. As a result, the Bush School DC offers graduate students a path to a successful career in national security, diplomacy, and intelligence. The Bush School DC is intentionally located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC, just three blocks from the White House. This enables Bush School students to study near the most prominent members of the national security community, including the FBI, CIA, NSA, State Department and Pentagon, and think tanks. This enhances opportunities to bring in experts to talk with our students and to facilitate internships, networking and job opportunities with key stakeholders and organizations.
Programs and Faculty
The Bush School DC provides students with the tools to understand complex issues through rigorous coursework and in-depth discussions. Classes are led by well-published scholars and seasoned practitioners from federal agencies in the intelligence, defense, and national security fields. A Graduate Certificate in Advanced International Affairs (CAIA) is also available.
Small, in-person classes provide an optimum learning environment with dedicated faculty members. Classes provide students with a stellar educational experience in an intimate space that promotes thought-provoking conversation among students and faculty.

The Bush School DC builds upon the strength and stellar reputation of Texas A&M’s Bush School in College Station, Texas. Students have access to the strength of the Aggie Network, a worldwide support system of over 500,000 alumni in more than 165 countries.
