The Master of Public Service and Administration (MPSA) degree program develops principled leaders for the public and nonprofit sectors, providing students the tools and knowledge they will need in order to perform effectively and ethically in a time when public servants face new and increased challenges. The MPSA program is fully accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration. The curriculum provides students with general knowledge and analytical skills in management, leadership, policy analysis, and research methods.
The Executive Master of Public Service and Administration program is a rigorous 39 graduate credit hour, non-thesis executive degree program offered online with a total of two required weeks in residence at Texas A&M University in College Station. The executive program delivers high-quality and high-impact coursework for individuals who continue to pursue their full-time professional careers while further developing in-depth, advanced skills in public service leadership, decision making, and critical investigative and evaluative methods within the public sector.
The Public Service and Administration Department has joined with Texas A&M University’s Departments of Political Science, Economics, Agriculture Economics, Sociology, and Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences, to offer joint-degree programs that allow qualified economics, political science, sociology, and agriculture economics majors to enter the MPSA program at the beginning of their fourth year of study at Texas A&M University. This unique program enables students to count certain approved courses toward both their undergraduate and graduate degrees and receive both degrees concurrently in five years.
The PSAA and EAHR Collaborative Degrees Program (CDP) is a coordinated educational effort of the Bush School and the College of Education and Human Development. The CDP is designed for those individuals who intend to build an academic career focused on conducting research in the multidisciplinary field of education policy. Specifically, this unique academic program will prepare individuals for careers in research universities and teaching colleges as well as for careers in consultancies or educational agencies of all types (private, non-profit, local, state, federal or international).
