Meet Crystal Riles, the Bush School’s new Director of Community and Culture!
Tell us a about your background and what you do here at the Bush School.
My background – I had a long standing career in admissions and recruitment and from that I really got into targeted recruitment, working with underrepresented populations, and that kind of led to my interest in focusing on community and culture and brought me here to the Bush School. I am so excited to be here working as the Director of Community and Culture to really help impact how people are successful here at the Bush School.
What Interests You Most About the Bush School?
I have heard so many amazing things about the Bush School. I came to A&M as a undergraduate student, I’ve worked here for over ten years and heard just about the love that people have for the Bush School and so that really sparked my initial interest and then the work that I would be doing here is really what sealed the deal for me.
If you could meet any historic figure, who would it be?
I would say the historic figure that I would like to meet is Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The work that she did for women’s’ rights, just general rights for everyone was so impactful. She really took leaps for women and I appreciate that. She’s a really fashionable woman too so that would be even more fun to talk to her about that.
