The need for leaders of character and integrity in public life is greater than ever. The demand for accountability and ethical behavior has increased in recent years and is unlikely to diminish.
The MPSA program develops principled leaders for the public and nonprofit sectors, providing students the tools and knowledge they will need in order to perform effectively and ethically in a time when public servants face new and increased challenges.
The MPSA program is fully accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration. The curriculum provides students with general knowledge and analytical skills in management, leadership, policy analysis, and research methods. In 2020, the Bush School was named the no. 1 ranked “best value” in residential MPSA programs by Value College.
MPSA students have ample opportunities to engage in public service and to develop leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom through interaction with high-level public leaders, real-world consulting projects, student organizations, and the School’s Public Service Leadership Program.
MPSA graduates leave the Bush School ready to make a difference, whether they choose to work in government, non-profit organizations, or the private sector. For details about where graduates go to work, view our employment statistics online.
The MPSA ranks among the top programs of public affairs in the country. The renowned faculty is accomplished and distinguished. The student-faculty ratio is exceptional, creating a small, close-knit learning community situated in a beautiful setting with world-class facilities. MPSA students learn by doing as well as by studying — participating in summer internships, volunteering through our Public Service Organization, and completing a year-long capstone project for real-world clients.
The MPSA is among the most affordable programs of its quality in the entire nation. All full-time students pay in-state tuition. We provide some level of financial support to all full-time students, with top-level awards exceeding $15,000 annually.
