Focused graduate credentials for working professionals and degree-seekersThe Bush School's graduate certificates let you build expertise in a focused area, on a flexible schedule, without committing to a full degree. Most are designed for working professionals, can be completed online or on campus, and earn hours that can later count toward a Bush School master's. Graduate Certificates
Each certificate is a short, focused graduate credential. Select one to explore its curriculum, emphasis areas, and delivery options.
Graduate Certificate in Advanced International Affairs (CAIA)
Graduate study in international relations, intelligence, defense, diplomacy, and security, with optional areas of emphasis. 12 hours. Online, College Station, or Washington, D.C. (in person only).
Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security (CHLS)
Homeland security strategy, policy, and operations, from emergency management to counterterrorism and cybersecurity, with five optional areas of emphasis. 15 hours. Online, College Station, or Washington, D.C..
Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management (CNPM)
Leadership and management for the nonprofit sector, with optional areas of emphasis. 12 hours. Online or College Station.
Graduate Certificate in Public Management (PBMG)
Effective, ethical leadership in public service and public management. 12 hours. Online or College Station.
Specialized & Joint Certificates
The Bush School also offers certificates with specialized audiences or partner-administered admissions. These are administered differently from the certificates above.
Certificate in Geospatial Intelligence (CGEO)
A 15-hour joint certificate in geospatial intelligence (GeoINT), supporting national security and intelligence work, offered with the Department of Geography (College of Geosciences). Admission is handled by the Department of Geography.

An executive-level certificate offered through the National Security Affairs Program (NSAP), tailored to professionals at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Security Laboratories. Delivered through a summer residency and synchronous distance education. Admission requires relevant graduate education and national-security work experience.

A five-course graduate certificate in policy analysis, quantitative and qualitative, available to students already enrolled in a Texas A&M graduate degree program (and qualifying Texas A&M undergraduates). Completed on campus alongside your degree.
Texas A&M graduate students must formally enroll in the certificate program and meet certificate completion requirements to earn the certificate. An individual who successfully completes the certificate program will be awarded a certificate by Texas A&M University and the Bush School.

Stack Toward a Degree
The hours you earn in a Bush School certificate can count toward a master’s degree, giving you a head start if you decide to continue. Several certificates map directly to a track in the EMPSA.
