Col. J.P. McDonough—a decorated retired Marine Corps officer and former U.S. Naval Academy Commandant of Midshipmen—has been named the new associate vice president and chief operating officer for Texas A&M University’s Washington, D.C., teaching site and leader of the Bush School DC. He’ll begin on June 1, 2025, succeeding the interim leadership.
