Jonghoon Lee is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Texas A&M University. His broad research interests include political institutions, executive branch and bureaucratic politics, judicial politics, and political economy from both American and comparative perspectives. More specifically, he studies how different types of political elites interact with one another to pursue their interests and how these strategic interactions shape public administration and public policy outcomes. In his dissertation, he develops and tests theoretical arguments on political incentives to make a government more democratic. His dissertation project is currently funded by both the Charles H. Gregory Class of '64 Graduate Strategic Fellowship and the College of Liberal Arts Summer Dissertation Fellowship at Texas A&M.
