The program began during the summer of 1998, with the following general purpose: “To support and promote cross-national research and activities of the Comparative Politics faculty and graduate students at Texas A&M University.”
The main focus of the program is to promote cross-national research from a broad perspective. To encourage this, the program supports various activities to facilitate discussion from bringing in speakers to funding mini-conferences. This semester, the program is sponsoring a speaker series on comparative public policy that brings in comparative researchers whose research profiles illustrate the many ways of approaching or adding policy to comparative work.
