ISTPP director, Dr. Arnold Vedlitz, guided a team of Bush School students during their 2010-2011 capstone project sponsored by Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing company. The Bush School’s capstone projects involve integrative, team-based, applied research exploring a major public policy issue. Dr. Vedlitz’s class focused on identifying the most likely elements to emerge from immigration policy reform and the demands that reform will make on federal agencies. The team’s analysis included a comprehensive literature review, a detailed investigation of relevant case studies, secondary analysis of public opinion polls, and in-depth interviews with stakeholder groups.
The student team presented their research results to Accenture executives and clients at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Dr. Vedlitz accompanied his class to Washington DC for the presentation.
