
Dr. Bryan D. Jones is a newly elected member to the social sciences class within the political science section of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is one of approximately 250 new members to be recognized for “excellence in the field and a record of continued accomplishments.”
Dr. Jones has been an ISTTP Research Fellow since the founding of the program. The ISTPP Fellows program recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of the Institute for Science, Technology and Public Policy and to its mission, aims, and objectives.
Dr. Jones holds the J.J. Pickle Regents Chair in Congressional Studies and is a professor in the Department of Government at the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Jones co-directs the Policy Agendas Project currently housed at the University of Texas. He studies models of decision-making and choice, fiscal policy, agenda-setting, and public policy processes.
