
Samee Lashari specializes in International Relations, US Politics, and International Political Economy. In 2011, he was nominated for Fulbright Scholarship by the United States Education Foundation in Pakistan for doctoral degree program. In 2017, he graduated with a PhD from Northern Arizona University. His dissertation research identified fourth tier in the world-system, and he named it as Semi-Core. His current research is exploring the demographic transformation in Pakistan in the wake of two waves of immigrants: Bengalis and Pashtuns. He is also working on explaining the nature and dynamics of perennial political conflict in Pakistan and using neo-Gramscian approach to explain the causes and consequences of military intervention in politics in Pakistan.
