Margaret Peterlin

Dr. Margaret Peterlin joined the Bush School of Government and Public Service in the fall of 2020 and teaches at the Texas A&M Washington, DC, Teaching Site. Prior to this, she served as the Secretary’s Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of State, Chief Executive Officer for Profectus Global Corporation, Technology Strategy Officer for Mars, Inc., Deputy Undersecretary for Intellectual Property at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and Deputy Director of the U.S. Trade and Patent Office. She has also held several roles for the U.S. House of Representatives and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Peterlin received a bachelor of arts in political science from the College of the Holy Cross and her juris doctor (JD) from the law school at the University of Chicago.
