
Balbina Hwang
Adjunct Lecturer - Bush School DC
Dr. Balbina Hwang joined the Bush School of Government and Public Service in the fall of 2020 and teaches at the Texas A&M Washington, DC, Teaching Site. Hwang also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses that focus on East Asia. She is a research consultant for IHS MARKIT, specializing in North and South Korea, Japan, and China. She spent two years as Senior Special Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs and has also taught at George Washington University and American University. Hwang received a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a PhD in government from Georgetown University.
