Al Brittain
CMSgt (Ret.) Al Brittain served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1994, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant after a 20-year career as an airborne Russian and Vietnamese linguist with his last assignments at the Air Force Academy as Fourth Group Sergeant Major and Dean of Faculty Superintendent. One unusual achievement during his career was appearing on The Price Is Right in 1987 where he won a car and other prizes.
Al then went on to a second five-year career as an Oracle database professional concentrating in the performance tuning area. For the last ten years, he’s been heavily involved in the assistance dog world where he provides advice and guidance to those looking for a service dog or to become involved in that community.
Al has an MS in Management from Colorado Technical University, a BS in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, and an AAS in Interpreting and Translating from the Community College of the Air Force. He’s currently enrolled in the Certificate in Nonprofit Management program here at the Bush School.

Stephanie Silva
Stephanie Silva is very involved in cyber security issues, via both the FBI’s InfraGard and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), a National Science Federation grantee at Tennessee Technical University. She served as a Houston InfraGard Healthcare Communications Sub-Deputy Chief this spring and also represented WiCyS at The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference this fall. While in residence at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she studied cyber warfare and cyber policy at United States Strategic Command, before serving a year as an AmeriCorps Technology VISTA. Stephanie has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
