Consistently ranked as one of the best places in the nation to live, the twin communities of Bryan and College Station, adjacent to the Bush School campus, with a combined population of some 120,000, are literally in the "heart" of Texas. Only 100 miles from Houston and Austin and 160 miles from Dallas and San Antonio, Bryan-College Station is within a few hours of many of the beautiful sights of Texas, including the beautiful beaches of the Texas coast. Service is at the core of the Aggie spirit. Home of the largest, one-day, student-run service project in the nation, Texas A&M University was recognized by the Washington Post as leading the nation's college campuses in public service in 2007.
