Director of Scowcroft Institute

The George Bush School of Government & Public Service, a professional graduate school of public and international affairs at Texas A&M University, invites applications and nominations for a scholar in international security studies to serve as Director of the Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs.

The Scowcroft Institute is a recently established research unit of the Bush School designed to promote policy oriented research on all aspects of international affairs. The Scowcroft Institute enjoys a unique supportive relationship with the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation and access to the materials of the adjacent Bush Presidential Library.

The selected individual will be a tenured associate or full professor in the School. Successful candidates must have a distinguished record of peer-reviewed scholarship in fields directly relevant to national security and international affairs, administrative experience and a demonstrated commitment to bridging the academic and policy communities. The Scowcroft Director will lead the expansion of this important, endowed operation and will teach in a professional graduate program designed to prepare individuals for careers in international affairs.
