The 2011 Bank of America Program on Volunteerism will take place on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Annenberg Conference Center at the Bush School, Texas A&M University, from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. This year’s speaker is Kenneth L. Hall, CEO of Buckner International. Buckner International provides care and resources for vulnerable and at-risk children in the U.S. and around the world. The program will include a speech by Dr. Hall and an onstage conversation between Dr. Hall and Dr. Will Brown of the Bush School on “Global Relief Efforts in a Turbulent World.”

The Bank of America established the program in 2000 with an endowment to the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation, with the goal of educating individuals and corporations on the importance of volunteer activities in today’s modern society.

Starting this year, the Bank of America Program on Volunteerism will be run by the Bush School’s Mosbacher Institute for Trade, Economics, and Public Policy. The program is open to the public, but registration is required by April 4.
