The Bush School of Government and Public Service is proud to welcome a record-setting 176 in-residence students to their international affairs and public service and administration programs this fall. The Class of 2018 represents 113 universities, 18 countries, and over 65 different concentrations.


September 14, 2016

Students in the Master of International Affairs program at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University,  recently had a unique opportunity to visit Germany and meet with high-ranking German foreign policy makers and academics. The fourteen-day program was led by Dr. Gabriela Marin Thornton and included stops in Berlin and Dresden.

Professor Ann Bowman received the Daniel Elazar Distinguished Scholar Award from the Federalism and Intergovernmental Relations section of the American Political Science Association (APSA) on September 2, 2016.


July 22, 2016

With financial support from the dean’s office, the Department of International Affairs, the Department of Public Service and Administration, and the Mosbacher and Scowcroft Institutes, Bush School students are expanding their classroom experience by serving as interns and immersing themselves in foreign languages this summer.


July 18, 2016

The first class of students enrolled in the Bush School’s newly launched Executive Master of Public Service and Administration program (EMPSA) recently began classes.

The Master of Public Service and Administration (MPSA) degree at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, was recently named the “Best Value” in the nation by Value Colleges. The rankings were based on the average starting salary of graduates, the annual cost of attendance, and the 2016 MPA ranking from US News & World Report.


May 27, 2016

On Thursday, May 12, the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, held a special ceremony for the more than 100 individuals who received graduate Certificates in Nonprofit Management, Homeland Security, or Advanced International Affairs. Twenty-five certificate awardees, from states as far away as Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, and Florida, were in attendance.


May 24, 2016

Two capstone research teams from the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, have been recognized with the James W. McGrew Research Award for outstanding research from the Central Texas Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration. The award recognizes two capstone research projects—team-based, applied research projects led by a faculty member and conducted on behalf of a client organization.


May 20, 2016

During Spring Break, when many students may have been enjoying their free time relaxing, a group of students from the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, traveled to Nepal in order to research the impacts of natural disasters and conflict in Nepal.


May 02, 2016

Faculty members at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, often collaborate with a wide range of departments, colleges, and institutions across the Texas A&M University System. In just the past year, faculty members and researchers from the Bush School have engaged in collaborations with scholars from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Education and Human Development, the College of Engineering, the Texas A&M Law School, the College of Liberal Arts, the Mays Business School, the School of Public Health, and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, among many others.
