Cindy B. Taylor, CEO of Oil States International Inc. and a 1983 Texas A&M University graduate, will be honored with the 2014 McLane Leadership in Business Award by the Mosbacher Institute for Trade, Economics, and Public Policy at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M.

Bush School Dean Ryan Crocker was awarded the Dwight D. Eisenhower Distinguished Service Award by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) at the VFW National Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 21, 2014.

Dr. Joshua Shifrinson has won the Lucian Pye Award for the outstanding PhD thesis given annually by the Department of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Shifrinson earned his PhD at MIT in 2013 and is an assistant professor in the IA program at the Bush School.

Dean Ryan Crocker has announced the appointment of Dr. F. Gregory Gause, III, as the first head of the Department of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University.  As professor of international affairs, Gause also will hold the John H. Lindsey ‘44 Chair at the School.

But Dean Ryan Crocker, former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, says America has a responsibility to aid the Iraqi people in the struggle for democracy and the fight against extremism.
