The Bush School’s Office of Communications and External Relations recently won four awards in the CASE District IV competition for marketing and communications, institutional identity, diversity and inclusion, and student recruitment. The communications office also won four awards from the Houston International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), including three Awards of Excellence, the highest level award given.  The office was recognized in the categories of internal communication; marketing, advertising, and brand communication; communication management; and communication skills.

Texas A&M Bush School student Michael Migaud received the ExxonMobil Best Poster Presentation award at the Texas A&M Conference on Energy.  His presentation was entitled “State Policies and Individual Action: How State Policy Influences Individual Uses and Opinions of Renewable Energy.”

President Trump’s response to the disappearance-turned-murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi embassy in Turkey has raised deep concerns among the diplomatic community. Saudi Arabia maintains that the journalist for the Washington Post was killed by “rogue agents,” but questions still swirl about Khashoggi’s murder, and this will serve as the basis for the discussion “The Death of Jamal Khashoggi: What’s Next for Saudi Arabia and US-Saudi Relations.”

Students also interned at federal agencies, state governments, and nonprofits, tackling border security and arms cooperation on the national level and child sex trafficking in Texas.
