Portney, professor at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, has been appointed director of the Institute for Science, Technology, and Public Policy at the Bush School. A leading expert on environmental policy, urban sustainability, and policy analysis, Portney will oversee the Institute’s efforts to examine public policy issues and communicate research-based knowledge to the public and decision makers.

The Master of Public Service and Administration (MPSA) degree at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, was recently named the “Best Value” in the nation by Value Colleges. The rankings were based on the average starting salary of graduates, the annual cost of attendance, and the 2016 MPA ranking from US News & World Report.

James Olson, senior lecturer at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, was featured in the premiere episode of a new CNN series, Declassified: Untold Stories of American Spies, which aired this past Sunday, June 19. Before coming to the Bush School to teach, Olson spent more than twenty-five years in the Directorate of Operations of the CIA, mostly overseas in clandestine operations.
