Bush School Football Tailgates

October 18, 2016

One of the many great things about attending the Bush School is that we are a part of the larger Texas A&M family, and one of the ways we show that community is through our support for Aggie Football. Aggie teams participate in a variety of sports, but Texas A&M is first and foremost a football school. For every home football game, the Bush School Student Government Association (SGA) sponsors a tailgate for Bush School students and runs a group ticket pull so our students can sit with each other in Kyle Field. I was involved with the tailgates and ticket pulls my first year, and this year I’m the SGA tailgate committee chair. Graduate school is a lot of work and academics must be a priority as a student, but it’s also important to unwind and be a part of larger campus culture. Tailgates provide a setting to meet other students early in the school year and are a place to socialize with current and former students and their friends and family. You can expect to work hard as a graduate student, but at the Bush School, we also create opportunities for students to socialize and enjoy experiences outside the classroom. Anthony Leon, MIA ‘17
