In addition, Ms. Lindquist collaborates with the director and researchers to facilitate research meetings and workshops.
Ms. Lindquist's previous work experience has given her an understanding of the importance of communicating research data and technical information to decision makers and the importance of research in informing public policy. Prior to joining the staff at ISTPP, Ms. Lindquist worked at the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) and the City of Houston, Texas. As an assistant research scientist at TTI, Ms. Lindquist was responsible for research into strategies to encourage high-occupancy vehicle use in Texas. Sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation, this research was particularly focused on areas of the state with air quality concerns. As a planner for the City of Houston's Department of Planning and Development, Ms. Lindquist was responsible for administering the City's development code and for research on special projects for the planning director, Legal Department, Mayor's Office, and City Council members. She also served as staff liaison to the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission. She has a master's degree in urban and regional planning and a bachelor's degree in environmental design, both from Texas A&M University.
