Certificate in Homeland Security
Offered 100% online, the Certificate in Homeland Security (CHLS) is an outstanding addition to the resume of anyone interested in a career related to homeland security; public safety including emergency management, law enforcement, or cyber security; public service in federal, state, or local government; or the public sector. Courses are taught by nationally and internationally acclaimed faculty members, often times accompanied with a student presence of full time working professionals who bring unique experiences and expertise to the class room.

Other certificate students are full time, degree-seeking Texas A&M resident students adding a special notation of certificate completion to their transcripts. 89% complete their certificate within 24 months, with some choosing a more accelerated or relaxed pace to fit individual scheduling requirements through the convenience of online learning.
Information
The Certificate in Homeland Security requires completion of 15 graduate credit hours and is offered 100% online. For program consideration, a Bachelors degree or current Texas A&M student status is required, along with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
