Get Involved
As The Network enters its first year full year, the active support of current and former students is invaluable. The Network is currently seeking 501(c)3 status and will need the expertise, experience, and leadership of Bush School former students to maximize the impact of The Network's vision at this critical time.
For those interested in key leadership positions, The Network is currently seeking applicants to chair the following committees. All former and current students are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to support the Bush School by participating in the development of The Network. Please contact us at admin@gbsformerstudents.com for additional information on how to get involved.
- The Strategic Planning and Steering Committee will provide the vision, framework, and strategies for The Network. The committee will work closely with the Executive Committee to ensure The Network meets its objectives and fulfills the purpose for which it was chartered. The committee will oversee projects and initiatives to ensure goals are being met, locate necessary resources for initiatives, resolve conflict when necessary, and coordinate efforts requiring multiple committees.
- The Recruitment and Membership Committee will engage current and former students in order to enlist them as members of The Network, initiate yearly drives to attract members, and maintain dialogue with faculty and staff of the Bush School in order to maximize student participation in The Network. Regular progress reports will be provided to the Executive Committee.
- The Career Development Committee will provide resources and assistance to current and former students seeking employment. Members of the committee will assist with compiling an open job list, making it available to current and former students and maintaining a database networking tool. This committee will also be available to current students, should they need advice or assistance in their job search.
- The Student Relations Committee will maintain regular contact with members of the Bush School Student Government Association (SGA) and stay informed on current school issues. As needed, the committee will also be available as a resource for questions, advice, or brainstorming. The committee will provide the SGA with Bush School Alumni Association news and updates.
- The Communications Committee will craft all official communication to external parties and internal members. This communication may include, but is not limited to, newsletters, press releases, and official letters on behalf of The Network. Regular progress reports will be provided to the Executive Committee.
